Facebook is a social media platform where you can keep in touch with friends and family. The good thing about this platform is that it allows users to access various features. Doing a Year in Review at the beginning and end of the year is what many users have been embracing since its inception.

The end of the year makes everyone a little nostalgic. That's why Facebook is helping its users dwell on their best moments with a cute little tool called Year in Review. The feature rolls out every year, and it's finally updated for 2014. Facebook autogenerates a photo collage that pulls in your most "liked" photos from throughout the year. You can remove or add photos by hitting the "Customize" button in the upper right corner. From there, you'll also be able to choose from six illustrated themes. But COPPA is clearly ineffective. Facebook has simplified its verification process in recent years. You may have heard about gray checkmarks or Facebook Marketplace verification. However, both of these programs have been discontinued.


Even as other platforms do not nearly match the overall reach of YouTube or Facebook, there are certain sites or apps, most notably Instagram, Snapchat and TikTok, that have an especially strong following among young adults. Next year, a GDPR-like privacy law will go into effect in California. In June, the state passed into law the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (CCPA). The legislation is designed to protect consumers by giving them new rights over personal information collected by businesses. The rights also create new responsibilities for businesses covered by the CCPA, including the right for consumers to learn what information is being collected about them. Consumers will also have the right to request that a business delete any personal information it may have collected from them and to disclose what personal information it is selling. The CCPA will come into force on Jan. 1, 2020, but businesses are encouraged to begin preparing now.


As the New Year approaches we start to see a ton of content from friends, relatives, and even companies looking back on the past year. Spotify gives us our top songs, Reddit recaps our scrolling habits, and now everyone seems to be sharing their Instagram "Year in Review" Reels.


A more organic way to find your perfect 2022 recap template is by discovering a Reel you like while scrolling Instagram. Lots of accounts are posting their end of year recap videos right now, so there's plenty to choose from in your Reels feed.


Before you get into the template editor on Instagram, take some time to scroll through your camera roll from this year and choose your favorite moments to share. As you do so, add them to your favorites or to a single album so they're all in one place and easy to find.


Note: If you didn't capture a ton of video this year but still like the look of a video smashcut, add some live photos into the mix. Instagram adds Live photos as video clips instead of static photos, giving you that cinematic feel even if you're not a big videographer.


Many year in review videos are just a candid compilation of the best, most memorable moments from the past 365 days, but maybe there's a particular story you want to tell. For example, you might choose a sequence of pictures illustrating a transformation over time, like your progress in the gym or how long your hair has gotten since last year.


Within a couple of years, Zuckerberg created an incredibly practical programme: ZuckNet. His father ran a dentists out of the house and wanted a simple way for the receptionist to contact him without shouting through their home. In May 2007, Facebook open their Marketplace, which lets users post classifieds to sell products and services. It also saw the launch of the Facebook Application Developer platform, opening the gates for developers to create their own applications and games that integrated with Facebook.


Then in 2008 we see a huge release from Facebook. April, 2008 saw Facebook Chat roll out, allow us to more instantly annoy our friends and family. Essentially, the concept is no different to ZuckNet. We also see the People You May Know, Facebook Wall, and Facebook Connect released in the same year.


The following year saw lots more tweaking and changes, such as the ability to like comments and improvements to photo tagging. July saw the number of registered users hit 500m, while the end of the year saw a big valuation of the company.


In November, 2010 Facebook was valued at a massive $41bn. Meanwhile it became the 3rd largest web company in the US, sitting behind Google and Amazon. All of this being achieved in under five years with no sign of progress slowing.


Another huge milestone was reached the following year. June, 2011 saw Facebook reach 1 trillion page views, according to a study by DoubleClick. And then, for the year overall, Nielsen found the site was the 2nd most visited in the United States.


In April we see Facebook make a major acquisition: Instagram. Spending $1bn, we get an idea of the kind of resources the platform now has at its disposal. This was just a month before the years big event. The IPO.


In 2013, a year on from the IPO and despite all the troubles it brought, Facebook joined the Fortune 500 at number 462. There was now no doubting the company was a major institution, especially as its global reach increased. But now its popularity caused problems.
